My name is Jake. I am 19 years old and puppets are my passion. I began making puppets and doing shows for my parents and grandparents when I was about 7. I would draw a face, stick it on a pencil, and bring to life a character. At the age of 12, I began hand making my own rod-arm style puppets. All of my puppets are stitched by hand. I do not use any machines and have learned to use the "hidden" stitch so that the stitching lines are not visible. Each Puppet has a character of it's own. I do shows all around my town, and I currently am involved in a local children's television show called "The Puppet Parade". I work two of the main characters, plus some of my puppets are featured on each episode.
